A Panda do Sol was born in 2016 and founded by French composer, guitarist and vocalist Félix Huet. Joined in 2017 by French composer, cavaquinho player and vocalist Héléna Fontaine, the band gathers today eight women and men from Brazil, France, Colombia & Germany, and is based in Berlin.
The ensemble forecasts the instruments of the genre: cavaquinho, guitar, pandeiro, tamborim, and surdo, and blends them together with the sound of a New Orleans brass section: clarinet, trombone & trumpet, leaving a wonderful basis for strong solos & vocals.
A story of love for Samba music and soulful transatlantic rhythms.

OLUMA / the nine-piece band, founded by Gregor Nicolai and André van der Heide, shares a common passion for danceable music. Thereby they let Afrobeat, Jazz, Funk and Brazilian influences flow together and form their musical environment.
Carried by the rhythm section, the four wind players create a versatile sound, often virtuos with snappy lines, sometimes floating and free. Driving rhythms unfold and make you move – it’s all about the experience with each other.

Currently, Oluma is working with producer Umberto Echo on their debut album, which is expected to be released in spring of 2024.
