Welcome to „Prismala & Friends,“ a 3-show concert series to celebrate music, community and connection. At each event, Prismala will fuse their alternative soul sound with a handpicked musical artist in Berlins infamous Badehaus. Starting on March 30th, the series will resurface once every two months with the second show already scheduled for May 25th and the third iteration being in the works.

Hailing all the way from beautiful Belgium, Prismala proudly presents Iskander Moon (and his band) as the first feature of the Prismala & Friends event series.

ISKANDER MOON

Based in Ghent, 23-year-old Iskander Moens already has an extensive musical journey despite his young age. From touring Europe with Collegium Vocale to composing for various projects, Iskander has become a versatile artist. As a multi-instrumentalist and producer, he trained in classical piano and completed a master’s in music production.
To some Iskander Moon might be a familiar name in the Berlin music scene, having spent extended periods in this beautiful city, performing in numerous singer-songwriter cafes with his warm tenor voice. It was during one of these stays in Berlin, while interning as an engineer at legendary Studio Wong in Kreuzberg, that Iskander met Prismala during the recording of their latest album.
Iskander Moon aims to deliver simple, heartfelt pop songs with compelling lyrics, sung from behind his ivory keys, reminiscent of Bon Iver, James Bay, and Tom Odell. His debut single „Saturday Silence,“ [PIAS] has been making waves on major radio stations and Spotify. Get ready for the release of his debut EP in mid-March 2024, just ahead of the show!

In the heart of this electrifying series is Prismala, your charismatic hosts. A band built on friendship and deep connection – to each other and to music. Unifying its members diverse background, Prismala blurs the boundaries between neo-soul, alternative rock and indie.

Following the release of the single „Places To Be“ in 2022 the project grew immensely within a short time. Building on this momentum, Prismala released its biggest body of work, the album ‚It Gets Weirder‘ in the summer of 2023. An album that holds up a mirror to the modern world and its ever-growing complexity. Celebrating the release with a historic and never before done show in Berlin’s Renaissance Theatre, Prismala presented the album’s genre-crossing sound at a string of shows in and around Berlin.
